La Tour Eiffel - La Dame De Fer

Eiffel Tower is located at Champ De Mars in Paris. It is built in 1889. The tower is the tallest building in Paris and the most visited monument in the world. The person who had designed this tower is Gustave Eiffel. The tower is 324 meters high about the height of a 81 storey buidling.

The tower has three levels. You may ascend the tower by stairs of lift to the 1st and 2nd level.

The tower was built between 1887 and 1889 as the entrance arch for the Exposition Universelle, a World's Fair marking the centennial celebration of the French Revolution. It was open on 6 May 1889.

Love

Love is a very important ingredient to motivate us to live life to the fullest.

Our meals are always tastier if we cook it with love.

Summer vacation in Paris

Time really flies. Today is my last day in Paris. People from all over the world lives here. There are Chinese, people from the Arab countries; and of course caucasians.
The city is made up of different races and culture and majority of them speak French.
Iregardless of the diversity in the society; the common language brings the people together.
I saw a Chinese lady in the supermarket. She must have lived in PARIS for a quite some time. She speaks fluent French.
It reminds of me when I was in Japan. I made an effort to learn about their culture, language and its people. With the effort, I could now speak the language fluently.

I believe the immigrants in Paris made an effort too.
In life; effort is needed in whatever things we do.

It doesn*t matter which city we stay.
In any city we live, we have to do things like washing the laudry; preparing meals; do housework etc.
It*s the people thqat makes the difference.
A place where there is LOVE is the place I want to live.

I will leave this romantic city with some lovely memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Life can be interesting

How can we complain that life is boring when there are so many new facts, new life experience, waiting for us to discover. Every moment can be fulfilling if we focus on positive things tt will build us up. Have a learning attitude all the time and our life will expand and grow w it. If you are not growing, it's time to wake up and get interested with Yr life!

New report confirms fliers should switch off before taking off

All personal electronic devices emit radiation, with cellular phones sending particularly strong signals to allow them to communicate with towers.

If equipment isn't well shielded, the radiation can affect other electronic circuits (easily demonstrable by placing a cellphone on a call next to a speaker), and the highly sensitive equipment on board an aircraft is thought to be especially susceptible.

At takeoff and landing, when accurate instrumentation is critical to the flight crew, even a momentary inaccuracy could be fatal -- and although newer planes are extensively shielded to allow calls in flight, scientists have warned that older models may not be.

Boeing's Dave Carson told ABC News that mobile phones could disrupt instrument landing systems, demonstrating that while a BlackBerry and an iPhone both produced signals well over the limits Boeing considers acceptable, an iPad -- becoming more commonplace -- was the worst offender.

In March, Boeing revealed that new on-board WiFi systems had produced "blanking" of some cockpit equipment during routine installation testing, prompting it to halt installations until the problem was rectified.

Annual Credit card Fee SGD500???

We have to be careful when we use a credit card. The bank sent me a statement requesting an annual fee of SGD500????

I requested to waive off the charges. They said they will waive off this year but for next year I have to pay for the annual fee.

It is ridiculous that they charge me 500 for simply a card. What service did I receive from the bank? Nothing!

I cut the credit card into half and next time I will think twice before I accept a credit card from a bank.
